Me and my wife Feds met on Christian Filipina in January 2024.
Like many people on the site, we were both looking for something real. We weren’t interested in playing games or wasting time. We both wanted a genuine Christian relationship with someone who loved the Lord, believed the Bible, and wanted a God-centered marriage. To be honest, we were both a little skeptical when we first started talking. We had both been praying for God to bring the right person into our lives, and we wanted to be careful. As we got to know each other, we quickly realized we had a lot in common. We shared the same beliefs about faith, family, raising children in church, and what Biblical marriage should look like. One verse that reflected our journey is Proverbs 3:5-6:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
Looking back, that’s exactly what happened. We trusted the Lord, and He led our paths together. Of course, I thought Fedelyn was beautiful from the start. She’ll probably tell you she thought I was handsome too, except for the beard I had at the time! But what truly made her special to me was her heart. She loves serving others and is active in her church, working with and ministering to children in both her community and church. Her kindness, compassion, and love for Christ stood out far more than anything else. What made our connection different was our honesty with each other from the beginning. We talked about our faith, our goals, our expectations, and the future we hoped to build. We didn’t just fall in love with each other, we grew together in our faith. Being in a long-distance relationship wasn’t always easy. There were challenges, difficult days, and moments when we simply missed being together. But through prayer, patience, and God’s grace, we continued moving forward. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 became a reminder of what we were building together:
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.”
Today, we are happily married and continuing our journey together. Like every marriage, we face challenges and misunderstandings from time to time, but we face them together. We pray together, communicate openly, and rely on the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We have learned that love is not just a feeling but a daily choice.
