Jesse and I met on the Christian Filipina platform way back in May 2022. Our interaction started when I asked him about one of his pictures on his profile, which got my attention because it looked like it was taken in the Philippines. Jesse, with other Christian brothers and sisters, had a mission trip in one of the provinces in the Philippines, and so we continued talking about our faith, ministry, and work. After that, we decided to continue our conversation via video calls. It was a gradual and intentional process of getting to know each other. Jesse decided to visit and meet me in person in the Philippines in the month of December 2022. We were prayerful and really liked the relationship that we had, and so he proposed marriage to me during his second visit the next year.
A year later, in September 2024, we had a wedding ceremony in the Philippines and were legally married in October in the USA. The long-distance setup was hard, but we managed to make it work because of constant communication, encouragement, and prayers. This year, 2026, we welcomed our first child, a baby boy, and we are very blessed and thankful for each other and to God for allowing us to meet and become a family.
We really appreciate the work of the people behind Christian Filipina and Filipino Visa, as they have helped us a lot in navigating our relationship from different sides of the world and working on the legal process of being together as a married couple in the USA. It was quite a long process, but it could have been longer if we didn’t have any help from your organization. We want to say thank you so much!
