  1. How do I change my email address or password?

    You can change your email address or password on the "edit your profile" page.

    After you've made your changes, click "Save" at the bottom of the page to save.

  2. Should I include accurate personal information in my profile?

    Of course, you should include accurate personal information - your age, your religion, your children, etc. But do not include your exact address or your real last name or any contact information anywhere in your public profile. You should only share this information on a one-on-one personal basis once you have established trust with someone.

  3. Do people actually meet on your site? Do they ever get married?

    Yes, people meet every day at our site. Visit our testimonials section to read testimonials from them for inspiration.

  4. When someone sends me a message, where does the message go and how do I respond?

    When a member sends you a note, it usually goes straight into your onsite message Inbox. We then send an email to your personal email address to let you know that it's there.  Only upgraded members are allowed to send contact information through the system, and their messages are never delayed.

    To read your messages, simply login to the site and go to your Inbox. If you decide to write back, simply click "reply", write your own note and send away. Your note will go straight into the member's onsite Inbox, and we'll let them know it's there with an email to their personal email address.

    All communications with other members can be within our site so that you never have to give out any personal information until you feel completely ready. Then when you are, one or the other person can upgrade to exchange contact details.

  5. How do I edit my profile? How do I hide my profile?

    To update your profile, click your "Account Name" located at the top-right menu panel and select "edit profile". Be sure to save your changes at the bottom of the screen when you're done.

    Try to put your best foot forward with at least one photo. The photo is key since most people feel more comfortable writing to members they can see. Try to stay positive in your "about me" section and let the real you shine.

    To hide your profile, please go to your dashboard area and under the "Profile Readiness" panel click the "Profile Status" button to hide your profile or click it again to show it.

  7. How does "My Matches" work?

    My Matches works according to the basic profile and "search preferences" at the bottom of the "edit profile" page.

  8. How much does membership cost?
  9. Our Silver and Platinum memberships are $17 per month, with a $97 (Silver) and $297 (Platinum) activation fee. Login and view the subscribe/upgrade page for a complete list of membership benefits.

  10. How do I sign up?
  11. In the front page, fill out your name, email address, and then click Join to get started.

  12. Can I send email addresses or phone numbers through the system?
  13. Free level membership entitles you to send basic messages to other members, but it does not entitle you to send personal contact information like email or phone numbers. Either you or your chatmate must upgrade your account, in order for you to send contact information through the system.

  14. Do you prevent free level users from sending personal information through the system?
  15. Our system allows any free level members to exchange pre-written messages to test the waters in our site. We encourage our members who are serious to upgrade their membership. Once you upgrade, you can write your own messages and send them to any site members. Even the free level members will be able to receive them and also to compose their own custom messages to the upgraded member by clicking reply.  At least one of you will have to upgrade, but it is not necessary for both to upgrade.  If both members remain free only, they can only exchange pre-written messages.

  16. When will you contact me through email? How can I ensure the email is not marked as spam?

    We send email to members when they receive personal messages from other users on the site, or are added to a buddy list, as well as "my matches" emails - but only if you set these options in our system.  To set your preferences to receive email notifications, please log in to your account and go to the page "My Settings" page to set your preferences

    In order to insure that emails are delivered to your inbox rather than your bulk/spam please do the following:

    • do not mark our messages as spam when they appear in your inbox
    • add our email addresses to your address book:
      • infoemail characterchristianfilipina.com,
      • paymentsemail characterchristianfilipina.com
      • notificationsemail characterchristianfilipina.com
      • adminemail characterchristianfilipina.com
    • if you do find one of our messages in your spam box, please mark it as "not spam" so that your email program will learn to put it into your inbox.
    • if your email provider (yahoo, hotmail, etc) continues to have problems delivering the email to your box, please contact your email provider directly and inform them about the problem.

       

  17. There's something that's not working on the site. What do I do?
  18. Please let us know as soon as possible with the Feedback Form. Include as much information as possible (for instance, your location, your browser name and version if you know it - and when you first noticed the problem).  Every page of the site also has a link near the bottom to report a problem.  If you notice anything amiss, please report it so we can fix it.

  19. I love your site. How can I help?

    We would very much appreciate your help spreading the word about our site.  Here are some ideas how to help:

    • Do you use twitter.com? If you like our site, send a tweet to let people know about Christian Filipina.
    • Do you use delicious, facebook, or digg, or any other social bookmarking service? Maybe friendster or myspace?  Just share the link http://christian-filipina.com so your friends can find the site.
    • Don't forget to add Christian Filipina to your Bookmarks / Favorites menu. You can even set it as your home page!

  21. I broke the rules. I think my account was suspended. What can I do?

    When members excessively violate the terms of service (usually due to inappropriate photographs or by repeatedly attempting to send contact information as free members) we suspend their accounts. If this has happened to you, and you wish to have your account reactivated and upgraded, you might want to call us at 800 578 1469 or write us an email to apologize.

  22. What do you do to protect the safety of the members, and how do we protect ourselves appropriately?

    THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR ACTING WITH CAUTION WHEN COMMUNICATING WITH ANY STRANGER WHO WANTS TO MEET YOU.

    NEVER INCLUDE YOUR LAST NAME, E-MAIL ADDRESS, HOME ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, PLACE OF WORK, OR ANY OTHER IDENTIFYING INFORMATION IN YOUR INTERNET PROFILE OR INITIAL E-MAIL MESSAGES. STOP COMMUNICATING WITH ANYONE WHO PRESSURES YOU FOR PERSONAL OR FINANCIAL INFORMATION OR ATTEMPTS IN ANY WAY TO TRICK YOU INTO REVEALING IT. 

    IF YOU CHOOSE TO HAVE A FACE-TO-FACE MEETING WITH ANOTHER MEMBER, ALWAYS TELL SOMEONE IN YOUR FAMILY OR A FRIEND WHERE YOU ARE GOING AND WHEN YOU WILL RETURN. NEVER AGREE TO BE PICKED UP AT YOUR HOME. ALWAYS PROVIDE YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM YOUR DATE AND MEET IN A PUBLIC PLACE WITH MANY PEOPLE AROUND.

  24. What is a verified profile?

    A verified profile is a certification that the name indicated in a member’s profile has been verified by the member’s submission of government-issued ID to Christian Filipina staff.

    There are 3 levels of verification:

    1. Verification of Profile Information
    2. Verification of Identity Uniqueness
    3. Verification of Affiliation to Church
  25. Do I need to verify my profile?

    Verifying your profile is optional, but we recommend that you choose to verify your profile. Verifying your profile shows that you are more sincere in searching for friends and the one you love. Since a verified profile proves that you are who you say you are, other members will be more comfortable corresponding with you.

  26. How can I verify my profile?

    To verify your profile and increase your verification level, you must meet the requirements and submit appropriate documentation. To submit this documentation, use our Feedback form and attach the images of each ID with separate form submissions, or email them to us.

    These are the requirements to qualify for verification:
    a. Must have a complete profile
    b. Must register with a valid email address.
    c. Must have at least 2 uploaded photos

    These are the appropriate documentations:

    • LEVEL 1: Valid ID (primary or secondary)

      This ID must contain:

      • -Name
      • -Location/Address
      • -Recent Photo
      • -Birthday
      • -Gender
    • LEVEL 2: Valid ID and verified SSS# (social security number) from your country of citizenship
    • LEVEL3: Valid ID, verified SSS# , and letter from pastor acknowledging membership in church

    **Your documents will be used exclusively for profile verification purposes and won’t be shared with any other members or any third-party.
