A Journey of Prayer, Faith & Love: Our Christian Filipina Story

I was a member of Christian Filipina for quite a while, constantly praying for the person God had in store for me. While I wasn’t entirely sure if I would actually meet my future husband there, I would log in to check the site from time to time. Eventually, I began to feel like it might not be the right place for me. I truly believed that, at the end of the day, it is the Lord who leads us to the right person, and I also knew how many active Filipinas were on the site competing for attention.

I decided to give it one last chance until the end of November 2021. If I didn’t make a meaningful connection by then, I planned to deactivate my account. Then came November 26.

On that day, I received a long, deeply detailed email from a total stranger. I felt compelled to respond because I was so captivated by the fact that he was a devout Christian and a godly man. I still vividly remember our very first video call. We ended our conversation by praying together. It wasn’t planned—it just happened naturally. In that exact moment, I knew the Lord had answered both of our prayers.

After communicating online for two years, he came to visit me in person for the first time. That was followed by a second visit, and then a third. The rest is history. Today, I am happily married to him and have been living with him in the U.S. for over two years now.

Our journey began with two people praying separately until God brought us together, and prayer remains the foundation of our life to this day. Prayer truly changes things, and we serve a great God who makes all things possible!

We are endlessly grateful to Christian Filipina for being the Lord’s instrument in answering our prayers. They even assisted us with my visa process, making the entire journey smooth and seamless.
