As a man who had given up on the idea that marriage was out of the picture, I have to say without a doubt that I am very grateful to God and Christian Filipina for giving me such a wonderful family! It started out of an interest in Asian women after so much frustration stateside. The “toss-up” was between Cherry Blossoms, Christian Filipina, and various Asian Cupid sites. Christian Filipina quickly became my top choice due to their professionalism, very personalized attention, and their dedication to carefully screening quality women prior to allowing them on their site. More importantly, I kept getting “divine intervention” on my behalf. Literally, in my mind, “Christian Filipina” kept ringing in my head as I was using multiple sites—unbelievably. What I learned during that time as a born-again Christian is that when God gives you more than a subtle hint, you pay attention because it is probably life-changing, and I am so glad I listened!
Here are some of my observations based upon my six-month journey with Christian Filipina. First, I had the mindset that I would never marry a woman who already had children, which really limited my access to more quality choices. Once I changed my approach based upon my Romance Counselor’s advice, my opportunities and communication became more meaningful. My special woman had two wonderful children, and I had no hesitation, as both children were just precious. Do what you will with this information. The most important thing to remember from what I previously mentioned is to heed your Romance Counselor’s advice; they are wonderful! Second, make sure you report any scammers to staff! It is hard to keep them off any dating site, and CF will tell you how to recognize them. I just want this wonderful service to keep the quality it keeps delivering, as it needs its members’ help to keep the site healthy. Lastly, remember you came to find the one perfect for you, so do not ever give up! Forget the naysayers and junk people spew at you, and follow your heart!
As of October 18, I have been married to my beautiful wife, Melanie Mankin, for two years. I find it amazing that even though we have had a long-distance relationship for two years, our marriage has blossomed. We communicate twice a day or more by WhatsApp, and every year until she makes it to the United States through her spousal visa, I come to see her in the Philippines for 3 to 4 weeks at a time—my only vacation I have from work in the USPS. While typing this testimonial, I am here in the Philippines until October 31, and we just celebrated our second wedding anniversary! When I return, I will be packing to move from my one-bedroom apartment to prepare to move into my brand-new home I bought, which is currently under construction and due to be closed by mid-December. My wife and my two girls, Gernie Bree and Nathalie Cole, will come to the United States with a great place to live!
