I’m Celia 55 yrs old of age I am a widow with four children, and I am also active in our church as an usher/gatekeeper in Las Piñas City. There are times when I feel lonely and think about the day when my children will eventually have families of their own. I do not want to grow old alone, so I decided to join a dating site.
Before I signed up on the Christian Filipina dating site, I prayed to the Lord and said, “Lord, if You will give me another chance to love and have someone to spend my life with, You already know what is best for me because You created me and You know what is in my heart. I surrender to You my destiny and the future person who will be with me as I grow old. Please make sure that he will accept me, love me, and also love my children.”
When I joined the dating app, I met Tim. As we continued talking every day on the dating site, our feelings for each other grew deeper. Later on, we decided to continue our communication through WhatsApp. As time passed, I started seeing signs that he was the person I wanted to grow old with. So I prayed again and asked the Lord, “Is he the man You are giving me to spend the rest of my life with?”
I was truly surprised when Tim told me he wanted to buy an engagement ring and see me in person. I was overjoyed because it was one of the signs I had been praying for. I am very thankful to the Lord from the bottom of my heart because He gave me Tim, my future husband, and he accepted and loved my children as well.
When Tim came for a vacation so we could finally meet in person, we decided to file for a K-1 and K-2 Visa. As our relationship continued to grow, we valued and appreciated each other even more. I thank the Lord because we are now waiting for our interview at the U.S. Embassy for our K-1 and K-2 Visa together with my 11-year-old child. We are planning to get married once we arrive in the U.S.
I am deeply grateful because the Lord answered my prayers. Prayer is truly powerful, and God gives even more than what we ask for. I wholeheartedly thank the Lord because He sees what is truly in our hearts. We should always remember that God can give us far more than we expect, so we must continue trusting Him.
I am thankful that Tim is the man God gave to be with me for the rest of my life. I truly believe that when something is destined by God, no distance is impossible. If the Lord moves, nothing is impossible.
Thank You so much, Lord. 🙏🙏🙏
And to everyone who is still searching for someone to spend their life with, never lose hope. Keep praying because the right person will come at the right time.
