During the COVID-19 pandemic, my husband and I met through a Christian Filipina dating service. As a Filipina, I decided to try my luck by creating a free account on Christian Filipina, hoping to find someone genuine—someone I could spend my whole life with.

After weeks of scrolling and sending hearts to profiles that caught my interest, there was one man who sent me a heart and a message. Since I didn’t have a paid account, it was very convenient when he messaged me first because I could reply.

We started chatting for days and discovered that we shared the same interests and goals for the future. From there, we decided to commit to each other and continue exploring our lives as a couple. We both chose to deactivate our accounts on Christian Filipina and exchanged our social media accounts so we could talk and see each other online every day. ☺️

After a year of talking online and having many video calls, my husband flew from the US to the Philippines for the first time. We met at the airport, full of excitement, and we both felt butterflies in our stomachs. 😅 We still have a video of our first meeting, where we hugged each other while random people in front of us cheered because they felt “kilig” for us. 🥰

Now, as a happily married couple for almost three years, we have shared many unforgettable moments. One of the most special for us is spending time outdoors, enjoying the beauty of nature that our Creator made for us. We still have many more memories to create as we continue our journey in married life, and we will treasure them for a lifetime.

As a Christian Filipina couple, our advice to those who are still waiting and searching for the right person is this: be patient and don’t rush. There is always a perfect time for everyone. Take time to truly get to know each other, and as we always say—be genuinely honest from the beginning. Be yourself, and the right person will come, accept you, and love you for who you are. ❤️
