When I joined an online dating site, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I decided to create my profile, hoping to meet someone with shared interests, and proceeded to post it on the Christian Filipina website. After chatting with a few people, I connected with someone who truly understood me, but unfortunately, he passed away three months before our wedding date. Before he left, we decided to get married in Alaska and subsequently filed for a K-1 visa. After one year and eight months, I finally got my visa approved. I came to Alaska in July 2024. We got married on September 21, 2024, and are happily married. We are going to celebrate our first anniversary this coming September 21st. I’m so grateful to have taken that leap of faith—it truly changed everything for me.

Hello, CF. I just want to say thank you because I met my special someone on your dating service.

I registered my account in April, and fortunately, my account was verified. Then I started searching.

But before everything, I already joined Christian Filipina in 2021. I met a guy, and we got engaged, but it didn’t work out. We broke up last year. And after one year, I decided to join again, hoping that I would meet a guy again—and hoping that this time, he is the one for me.

To make the story short, I met a guy one month after I created my account. We talked for a while. But because I was busy, it took 8 days before I replied to him again. I didn’t know he was waiting for my response. So when we talked in chat, he asked if he could call. And I said yes. And when we met on video, we immediately liked each other. He also told me that for him, it was love at first sight. After 2 days, we became boyfriend and girlfriend. Then he sent me flowers and chocolates, and he sent me a package too. He said it was a gift for my birthday.

Then, on the day of my birthday, which was in June, he decided to meet me in person. He booked the flight, the hotel, and the car. On July 3, we met in person, after 1 month of the talking stage. We really liked each other in person. He’s very kind, sweet, humble, soft-spoken, and also handsome.

At first, I didn’t like his height because he was too tall, but when we met, I appreciated his height, and so far, we’re happy. We pray every day so that God can be the center of our relationship.

For now, we are getting to know each other better—before entering into a big commitment and before we settle down, because we don’t want to make mistakes in our decisions.

I love him, and I know he loves me too, and I’m excited for him to come back to visit me in December.

My late husband passed away in 2021. We met on this site, both looking for a Christian partner. He saw my profile which was so simple but he got attracted to  me right away. We started exchanging messages in November 2017, and he came to visit me in the Philippines last February 2018. He then started the process to petition me. He came back to see me again in August 2018 for my 50th birthday. We patiently waited for my papers to get approved, and in November, we finally got it. I got here in US last February 2019 and he said that I was the best woman that he ever had, after 3 divorces.

But, after a year, he was diagnosed with lung cancer that took his life. Before this saddest moment for us, I was able to take care of him until he was bedridden. That’s why his family was so grateful to me. They told me that without me, they would have just taken John to the nursing home.

I joined a lot of dating sites, but it wasn’t working until I found Christian Filipina. I wanted to try this not once, but twice, because I forgot the password to my first account and decided to uninstall the Christian Filipina app. Then, in 2022, I went back to open it, but not on the app, just through email. I made a new account, and after one year, on December 13, 2023, I received a message from my soulmate, and that is Hayden. So, I replied to him, and that started our story. After four months of talking, he decided to meet me in the Philippines.

At that time, I was in Oman because of my work. April 1, 2024, was the end of my contract, and then he decided to book his flight for April 20, 2024. That was our first meeting. I’m so happy because I can’t believe that because of this dating site, I found my soulmate. He is very kind, loving, responsible, and sweet.

I love him so much. He stayed in the Philippines for two weeks and went back to Australia, and then we were back to a long-distance relationship again. After six months of LDR, he decided to go back to the Philippines for our second meeting on December 28, 2024.

He went on a cruise vacation last Christmas, but he was only in the Philippines for seven days, which is why I was so sad at that time. He needed to go back to Australia, back to LDR again. And this is it: after five months of LDR, he said, “What if you come over here to Australia as a tourist, and we will see what’s next?”

So, I prepared all the papers and all the requirements, and after two months, I finally got my visa. It’s granted as multiple until next year. Last June this year, 2025, until the end of August 2025, marks the end of my three months here in Australia. Thank God, my “soon” turned into “finally.”

I am happy to share my story.

How we met is when Nesly actually reached out to me because of my profile. She even tried to answer the riddle I wrote there. We started having daily conversations and video calls. Eventually, I started calling her my precious future wife, and she responded by calling me her future husband.

Our connection was special because we both have a strong faith and trust in the Father in heaven. I had the opportunity to be the one to transition a virgin into a wife, and she finally had her prayers for finding a God reverencing husband answered.

Even though we have yet to have our first date, we actually did something so profound and unheard of, which is what I call a lawful marital covenant ceremony. My pastor officiated the ceremony where he recited the script, and both Nesly and I declared our vows to each other. Then, my pastor anointed me with oil, and Nesly’s head of the family, her mother, due to her father passing away years ago, anointed her head with oil. My pastor then prayed over both of us. Finally, he pronounced us as covenant husband and wife according to the scriptures. In the eyes of God, we are joined together as husband and wife. Nesly is now forever sealed with the honor of being pure when she became a wife. The only thing remaining is to travel to the Philippines to complete the civil process so our marriage will be recognized by the Philippine government. Once we receive the marriage certificate, that is when I will contact Filipino Visa to meet me at the consulate to complete the permanent residency process.

I encourage all who hear my story to make the intent of their search to find a spouse that he or she will truly give their heart, soul, mind, and body to. By the way, at the latter part of my previous marriage, which eventually ended in divorce, I was inspired to write a song that expressed what a marriage should be about, which is true unity based on an eternal perspective. While others choose songs, God blessed me with the talent to write songs.
