I’ve been a widow for almost 9 years now. I have two daughters 18 and 23 years old and one son—my son is technically my nephew, but I raised him as my own.
Life hasn’t been easy being a solo parent to three kids. There are days when I feel so tired, carrying everything on my own. Sometimes, I find myself wondering what it would be like to have someone by my side again, someone who will accept me and my situation completely.
I long for a person who can care for me, someone I can lean on when things feel too heavy to carry alone. I miss having a man beside me, someone who can hold me, love me, and reassure me by saying, “Don’t worry, I’m here for you.”
I miss that kind of warmth and companionship.
