Hi, I'm Jee-Ann! I’m an island girl living in Lake Sebu with my family, where we navigate our beautiful surroundings by boat. I’m currently a senior high school student with aspirations of becoming a professional midwife. My dream is to uplift my family from our current situation and provide them with a better life.
My mother creates beautiful beadwork that she sells to tourists, while my father works hard as a laborer on construction sites. I have a younger sister and brother who are also in school, and I am determined to help lift my family out of poverty in the future.
At the moment, I am not living with my family. Instead, I earn money by babysitting my cousin’s daughter as a way to give back for all the support I receive in my studies. I am committed to repaying their kindness by becoming a successful woman one day.
