Music is my passion, I love to play the guitar and piano. I worked part time in the music industry for more than 25years and no I'm a terrible singer hehe.
I like to read, a lot and going cycling. I also like art and photography. I have been fortunate to visit the Philippines just before the pandemic and loved it so much. People are so humble and kind and I would certainly be open to moving there if the right person comes along.
So who am I deep down, well words are easy but I absolutely live by John 8:17. I understand that matters of the heart especially online can be difficult but I'm probably someone who takes a long time to fall in love and I think that's a good thing. They say quick to fall in love quick to fall out. It also means I try to make the effort to get to know someone rather than just rushing into it. I do want marriage. My grandparents will celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary this year and my parents 46 and me well I have been single a long time. I have never got into the short term tinder dating or social media, I miss dating the old ways, connecting for real and getting to know all the person not just the good that we want to show, we all have stories and I accept people good and bad.
Just don't be the drowning man!
A fellow was stuck on his rooftop in a flood. He was praying to God for help.
Soon a man in a rowboat came by and the fellow shouted to the man on the roof, “Jump in, I can save you.”
The stranded fellow shouted back, “No, it’s OK, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me.”
So the rowboat went on.
Then a motorboat came by. “The fellow in the motorboat shouted, “Jump in, I can save you.”
To this the stranded man said, “No thanks, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith.”
So the motorboat went on.
Then a helicopter came by and the pilot shouted down, “Grab this rope and I will lift you to safety.”
To this the stranded man again replied, “No thanks, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith.”
So the helicopter reluctantly flew away.
Soon the water rose above the rooftop and the man drowned. He went to Heaven. He finally got his chance to discuss this whole situation with God, at which point he exclaimed, “I had faith in you but you didn’t save me, you let me drown. I don’t understand why!”
To this God replied, “I sent you a rowboat and a motorboat and a helicopter, what more did you expect?”
