About William
Location: Bloomingdale, Indiana, United States
Never married, no children.
4 out of the last 5 winters, I lived in the SW Arizona desert boondocking around Yuma but I keep thinking I should spend winter in the PI.
I have been to all 50 US states, 32 foreign countries and even lived 2 years in Japan. I have been to Manila, Cebu and Boracay but I am planning on wintering in the PI this winter.
Because of the 30 day visa limit, I think I will first stay a month in Manila, bounce for a few weeks in Da Nang, a month in Cebu then bounce to Ho Chi Minh for a few weeks then a month somewhere else in the PI, etc before returning to the USA.
I have a YouTube channel but I haven't posted much after hiking part of the Appalachian Trail across the state of Maryland two summer's ago. Regretfully, there isn't much 'wilderness' on the AT.
I served for 26 years in the Navy onboard submarines and aircraft carriers but spent the last 8 years as a Meteorology and Oceanography Officer, otherwise known as a 'weather quesser'.
I have been engaged twice and my last three years on active-duty, (when I was last 'stationary') I was a single foster parent providing respite care . This usually was for various teenage boys on the weekends who's full-time foster parents just needed a break for a few days.
On the weekends that I didn't have a foster kid, I would spend my Saturday mornings at a child services center that cared for up to 12 children waiting to be placed into foster homes.
I would like to meet an educated and adventurous woman who shares my desire to see new places and people and someday have our own little bundle of trouble.
Honestly, I don't like the political atmosphere in the USA so I hope to meet a Filipina then the two of us will move to Uruguay.
Way easier for the two of us to get 2nd citizenship there that will provide us greater opportunities we only need to learn Spanish within 5 years.
Then when it's time for the child(ren) to start school, we move to Portugal. Both of us then, after learning Portuguese, we can both get a 3rd Passport.
Any children we have would then be citizens of USA, Philippines, Uruguay and Portugal. They would be able to speak at least 4 languages, be allowed to travel anywhere and could attend University anywhere in the world.
Once the child(ren) are grown we too could do whatever as well.
Both Uruguay and Portugal have very good year round weather and cost of living is cheaper than the USA. Health care in both countries is very affordable.
Once we move to Portugal, travel infrastructure is way better in Europe so quick plane/train trips with kids is very easy.
It's asking a lot from a Filipina who hasn't traveled but I love adventures, I just haven't found a woman brave enough to enjoy the trip.
