A little bit about myself… I am currently living in Sitka, Alaska. I have been single for about 12 years. I retired from our city hospital in July of 2023. I was employed as a Respiratory Therapist. That position dealt with a lot of death and dying. I am grateful to have that chapter of my life behind me.

Regarding individual character, I believe honesty is the most important to me. Without honesty between two people, you’ll never have a foundation to build a good relationship on. Faithfulness and mutual respect between you and your partner are also critical. Without any of these qualities or values, a relationship is bound to fail. Truth be told, I would rather live by myself for the rest of my life than live in an unhealthy or unhappy relationship.

Activities that I enjoy are walking through Totem Park and hiking in our local mountains. I usually go on a 4-5 mile walk every day. I enjoy swimming but haven’t done much of that while living in Alaska. The Alaskan waters are too cold for my liking. I enjoy a good movie and a reading a good book. Those books usually pertain to different historical events throughout history.

I have enjoyed traveling when the opportunity presented itself. I have been lucky in life and have managed to travel to about 35 different countries. The Philippines being one of them!
