On that note, I am looking for someone that could see herself as the wife of a minister, but not just any minister. I am looking at being an evangelist, someone who goes from church to church (or some other kind of gathering) and preaches the Gospel. I am also hoping to be able to teach the Bible in some form or fashion. The bottom line is, I desire a woman who could join me in ministry and would be supportive me of preaching the truth of the Word of God, no matter what it could cost us in this life.
Note: if you are Catholic, know that you are not saved by works, for it is written, “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
Ephesians 2:8-9 NASB1995 And again, it is written, “But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”
Titus 3:4-7 NASB1995
You are also not saved by anything a priest can do. Only Jesus can save you, for it is written, “let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—by this name this man stands here before you in good health. He is the stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which became the chief corner stone. And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.””
Acts 4:10-12 NASB1995
You cannot get to God the Father through Mary. You cannot get to God the Father through any saints. You cannot get to God the Father through a priest. You cannot get to God the Father through saying Hail Mary’s, taking the Eucharist, taking communion, or going through any kind of ceremony or ritual or doing any kind of works. You can only get to God the Father through Jesus Christ, as it is written, “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”
John 14:6 NASB1995
You cannot get forgiveness of sins through any of those methods either, but only through Jesus Christ, as it is written, “but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.”
1 John 1:7-10 NASB1995
To be saved and forgiven of your sins, you must put your faith in Jesus Christ and trust that He suffered and died on the cross to pay the price for the sins you deserve to pay for in the lake of fire throughout the rest of eternity. You must also repent of your sins, confess Christ as Lord, submit your life to Him in service to Him out of a love for Him and not out of mere obligation, and you must believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. It is these things that lead to your salvation.
The evidence of you having salvation is having a changed nature to where you desire the things of God and not of the world. This is what it means to be born again like what Jesus said in John 3:3–7. To where you love the things of God you once hated and you hate the evil things of the world you once loved. A new desire to proclaim the Gospel and make disciples. A new desire to live your life for the Lord Jesus Christ and to surrender all of your dreams and hopes and passions and aspirations to Him. To where you have a new nature with new desires. See Galatians 5:15- 26 for comparison of the old nature and the new nature. And test yourselves and make sure that you are in the faith like 2 Corinthians 13:5 and 2 Peter 1:10 command.
Also, I desire someone who does believe that God made Jesus suffer in accordance with Isaiah 53:10, which states, "But the Lord desired to crush Him, causing Him grief;if He renders Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, and the good pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand." This is also in accordance with Isaiah 53:4, which states, "However, it was our sicknesses that He Himself bore, and our pains that He carried; yet we ourselves assumed that He had been afflicted, struck down by God, and humiliated."
It is not commonly taught, at least in America from my experience, that it was God the Father who killed His Son Jesus Christ through the hands of the Romans, yet this text makes this bold statement of the Creator of the seas slaughtering His only begotten Son. It had to be this way. If it was only man who killed God, then it was only the wrath of man that was satisfied. The wrath of man cannot satisfy the wrath of God. Only the wrath of God can satisfy the wrath of God. Therefore it had to be a God-sized punishment to pay a God-sized debt that could only be paid for by God Himself and delivered by God Himself. So it had to be God who killed HIs Son, or else His wrath would not be satisfied. If we were to say that man killed Jesus and yet that death is enough for our salvation, then that is a works based salvation, because that means men did what it took in order to make it possible for us to have salvation.
This is something someone I am to marry has to believe, or else how can we be good partners in ministry? Do two people who have opposing business approaches go into business together? Neither should a man and wife do ministry together on such a vital opposing viewpoint. There are things that can disagreed upon in a marriage/ministry partnership in which that partnership could still work. However, this is not one of them.
