An Open letter for my future Husband.

Like you, I feel lost sometimes, too.

There are moments where I feel like being left out as if I’m running on a race that I created in my mind. I don’t even know what the future holds for both us—but one thing is sure there’s Someone higher from us who knows what He’s doing even if it might seem unknown, scary or even painful.

So here’s my reminder for you, please don’t pressure yourself.

I can’t motivate you all the time, my words can be harsh sometimes. So even if staying with me in silence, even if there’s no topics to say in the night, your presence is already a gift from above. I pray that you’ll have patience and intentionality to be the leader of the house as God leads you. You see, I used to have this picture of this strong woman, but God tore down the pride in my heart that I don’t need to be strong all the time—He is present at my weaknesses.

I shouldn’t be the source of your happiness, worth and value as a person.
I want to serve God with you and worship Him even at the highest and lowest moment of our lives.
But truth is, I can also disappoint you. This sinful nature that we have, I know there will be days that I am difficult to love. And I pray that we always fix our eyes on Jesus on serving one another rather than wanting to be served.

Lastly, money isn’t the measure of our success.
Why did I brought that up here? Because they say as a woman, marry a rich man so problem solved!
And I don’t buy that. Practically, yes, it brings happiness—but only temporarily. Having financial breakthrough is good, but the love for money is sin. If the riches of this world will steal us from our First Love, then I don’t want it. I’d rather want us to invest on things that are eternal, for Him and because of Him we’re here and that’s the reason why we are living.

I’m praying that you’ll pursue your calling wherever He leads you, because He has a plan for you. I just want you to be the man that God wants you to be. I am a work in progress like you. We’re not perfect, but we have a God who is perfect. He’s the only One who can make us whole and complete, that’s why you’re worth it. You're worth to wait, coz I know He plan it all for us. 🥰🥰
