Praise the Lord! Dear co sojourners..don't loose hope. I wish you all well! Seek your partner with hope and honesty. Maintain brutally open and effective communication, speak and have conversations regarding all possible life aspects. Never assume things. Learn early about each other's temperaments, emotion coefficient and stress responses. People become a lot different under different circumstances therefore see how they handle different situations. Basically stress test, life puts us through inevitable stress and anxiety how one manages them is really important. We might be honest, hard working, church going believer and sincere at the same time freez, withdraw or get frenetic or panicky or throw a tantrum etc in the face of adversity. This means there's some self work needs to be done.
No one is perfect, however everyone can strive to have a better relationship with desire, commitment, promis of love, facilitated by free and effective COMMUNICATION and meaningful CONVERSATIONS. Don't be too fixated on faith and beliefs, while they are super important try to find common grounds on other practical everyday aspects of life such as work, politics, parenting, finances, social issues, potential risks to your marriage, scenarios of problems and how to solve them, so on. Also be aware of your own limits, how far you can go, when to call off.
In our current times marriages have become such a complicated complex business, it doesn't have to be. Knowing what we know we have to apply caution and judgment, I think God will be the right person to help us.
I'm speaking out of my experience, bad experience, I learned many things. I want to be of some help people seeking partners.(I myself is up to self help) Avoid LDR as much as possible, LDR should be the least and last choice.
I'm not a religious person having said that I'm driven and motivated by Christian values.
