But he also meant opening very deep spiritual riches within. As an Orthodox Christian I would like to meet someone open to launching out into the deep together. Someone gentle as a dove, wise as a serpent. Joy is not bound by the deception of the present age but if we’re really paying attention we realize the world is in a state of deep darkness while focusing on that rather than the light of Christ is a waste of time.
