I have no kids, but I do have 2 dogs and 3 cats. They are my family. I prefer someone without children because if thing work out, then maybe we will have a family together.
I should also say I am not religious. I don't go to church, I don't believe in a God. But I respect your rights to believe in whatever you think explains this crazy existence of ours. I was raised Christian, and possess many of those morals, but that is the end of it. And I don't think you need to believe to be a good person. I know I certainly try to do what's right.
